J. Vincent Perryman is a native of Memphis, Tennessee. He graduated from the University of Memphis with a
B.S. in Geology in 2000. After graduation he spent the next two years working as a Federal Law Enforcement
Officer for the National Park Service. He also served as a Deputy U.S. Marshall after September 11, 2001,
working National Security Details at various locations throughout the United States.
Mr. Perryman returned to the University of Memphis, where he obtained a Juris Doctorate from the
Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 2005. During Law School he served as a law clerk for the Office of
Legal Counsel at the University of Memphis, where he dealt with many administrative law issues including
collegiate sports law involving the NCAA. He earned a Masters of Law in Taxation from the University of
Washington in Seattle in 2006, while working as an attorney in the University's federally funded Low
Income Taxpayer Clinic representing clients in a wide range of tax controversies before the Internal
Revenue Service and The United States Tax Court.
In late 2006, Mr. Perryman joined a well established Memphis law firm focused on Estate Planning and
Taxation. After working in a large firm setting, he decided to control his own fate and opened his own
firm, The Law Offices of J. Vincent Perryman. Mr. Perryman's goal is to add value to each client's life
